The metal lens cover doubles as a kickstand and it actually holds steady when I prop the phone up for videos. I've got it on my 17 Pro and the magnets still grab my car mount fine. Bit chunky in my pocket, but that's the tradeoff for the protection.
Dropped it face-down on tile the first week and the screen came through fine, which sold me on the shockproof build. The MagSafe still grabs my car mount through the back, and the metal lens cover flips up when I want to prop it for a video.
The metal lens cover doubles as a kickstand and it's way sturdier than the plastic ones I've had before. I've dropped it twice on concrete already and the phone's still perfect. Magsafe still snaps on strong through the case too.
